Positive Reviews

Quiet location yet not far from amenities.

Guests appreciated being away from the hustle and bustle yet found it very convenient being able to reach many of the town’s attractions on foot. As there isn’t a restaurant on the premises, many appreciated being a short stroll away from numerous cafes and restaurants as well as a large shopping mall.

Pleasant places to relax and socialize.

Many enjoyed spending time in the comfortable lounge either relaxing in front of the open fire or watching their favorite sports on the large flat screen. During finer weather the porch with its numerous rocking chairs proved popular with many who said that they thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside chatting with other guests whilst admiring the scenic views.

Accommodating and friendly staff.

The majority of the guests described the staff as being courteous and friendly, often going the extra mile to make the guests feel welcome and at ease. Many appreciated the helpful tips and advice offered by the front-desk staff with regards to the local area as well as the willingness to resolve all issues and queries.

Negative Reviews

Unimpressive breakfasts.

Guests were disappointed to find only a limited amount of items available at breakfast and objected to the lack of hot food as well as healthy options such as fresh fruit and yoghurts.

Walls on the thin side.

The soundproofing was said to be rather inadequate as guests said they were able to hear everything going on in the adjoining rooms which prevented some from getting a good night’s sleep.

Maintenance issues.

A wide range of maintenance issues were reported by the guests including faulty electrical appliances, blown light bulbs as well as mouldy grouting and broken tiles. There were also quite a few plumbing problems with guests objecting to slow draining sinks and noisy pipes.
