Positive Reviews

Location is just superb

Being so close to the clifftop (literally a 30-second walk along the road) is a huge bonus as it means you get to enjoy stunning views out across Poole Bay to the Isle of Wight and 'Old-Harry's Rocks' whenever you like Needless to say, having the seafront and town centre within easy strolling distance is very handy too.

Hotel retains plenty of Victorian charm

This hotel has managed to retain plenty of the charm it was bestowed with when originally built at the turn of the twentieth century Along with the lovely Victorian elevations outside, the interiors still boast the original high ceilings as well as some intricately carved coved cornices and ceiling roses studded with opulent chandeliers Absolutely lovely.

Food is excellent

Make sure you sample the hotel's breakfast and evening meal options at least once during your visit You won't be disappointed – everything is cooked to perfection!

Negative Reviews

On-site parking can be stressful

The cramped nature of the hotel's on-site parking (particularly during busy periods) means getting blocked in is a perennial concern You have been warned!

Walking back to the hotel can be a challenge

Walking down to the town centre, gardens or pier is a breeze – it's downhill all the way Suffice to say, coming back requires a lot more effort.

But that's all the negatives there are

But that's about all the negatives there are. Put the cramped parking and unfavourable incline to one side and you'll see there's not much else to take issue with here.
