About Bourgoensch Hof

The Hotel Bourgoensch Hof hotel is housed in a 17th-century former brewery right in the historic heart of Bruges. The 3-star hotel has seventeen rooms and is right on the edge of the city’s picturesque canals.

Guest rooms are provided with a flat-screen TV, desk, radio, phone (for internal use) and kettle. Several have a view over the canal right outside.

There is an elevator and Wi-Fi is free in all areas. No parking on site, but staff can arrange underground parking nearby if need be.

The Hotel Bourgoensch Hof’s restaurant serves typical regional cuisine and opens out onto a terrace in the summer with views over the canals. There is also a bar/lounge for drinks.

The hotel is in one of the most visited and photographed areas of Bruges and the canals, Central Markt Square, Belfry Tower and the Groeninge Museum are all within walking distance.

Positive Reviews

Central location brings Bruges to your doorstep

Several of the most exciting sites are very close to the hotel and as Bruges is quite a small city, not much is far out of reach Take part in key tourist experiences such as canal boat tours or visiting the “beer wall” or simply stroll around sampling the several local beer and chocolate shops Restaurants and bars are also plentiful in the area.

Picturesque views from inside and outside

The breakfast room has a fantastic view over the canals as do plenty of the guest rooms Furthermore you are free to take in the charming streets and building by simply walking in and around them or perhaps renting a bike for the day to explore.

Hotel is a quiet oasis from activity outside

As the windows are double-glazed, you can sleep easy without disturbances from the lively streets outside This is no doubt a welcome comfort after a day of sight-seeing.

Negative Reviews

Some rooms overlook surrounding buildings

This may not be a big deal if you plan on being out most of the time However if you prefer a room with a view, it may be worth paying extra for a canal-view room, as the other options just have views of the neighbouring buildings.

Breakfast without hot options

Although the free breakfast is a standard Continental buffet and really good with plenty of choice, there is no hot food so those who prefer this may choose to go out into the town for a morning meal.

Décor could do with some TLC

In the budget rooms particularly, some of the furniture and fittings could be seen as a little tired, for example certain carpets, curtains, etc.
