Positive Reviews

Ultimate escape.

Most guests felt that this hotel was just the thing that they had in mind for a relaxing break. Peace and tranquillity were abundant, and guests loved that they were situated on a quiet street but within a short walk of town. The majority of rooms had big beds and bathrooms, many with a window seat for contemplating life and watching the world go by.

A warm welcome.

If guests were lucky enough to encounter the owner, they were treated to hospitality at its best. Friendly and personable, there was no shortage of local information and answers to questions from the gem of a host.

Extras.

Guests loved the large verandah and free use of bikes for exploring the area. They said that these things set this guest house apart from others, and many were wishing that they could have stayed longer.

Negative Reviews

Ear plugs might be necessary.

Along with the charm and ambiance of this older home comes some noise. Creaky floors and thin walls sometimes uncovered too much information about guests' neighbours and for many this was the one thing that they could do without.

Parking problems.

Off-street parking was something that was noticeably missing for several guests. A spot to park the car wasn't always easy to come by, so you might want to keep this in mind when considering transportation.

Some rooms better than others.

A certain group of guests got stuck with a room that they felt was lacking in value. While most guests raved about the comfortable ambiance, the room with the bathroom down the hall was considered to be inferior and sometimes not worth the cost.
