Positive Reviews

Stunning, vibrant location

With a location just steps away from the well-known Kloof Street and close to The Gardens, guests still found the guesthouse remarkably peaceful and quiet once inside. They loved the surroundings which they said felt safe, even while walking to the numerous eateries and other historic attractions in the area.

Lovely touches

The perfectly hospitable hosts were praised for their efforts in making sure that guests felt completely at home. The mid-morning muffins and banana bread were a great hit, and together with a lovely cup of tea or coffee was just what they needed to start the day off.

Beautiful Victorian home

This historic home was something that was appreciated by many visitors. They commented on the beauty of the original features, the stylish decor, as well as the high level of cleanliness throughout.

Negative Reviews

Wi-Fi is signal is weak

If you do rely on a good Internet connection, whether for business or pleasure, you may have to consider an alternative method other than the Wi-Fi offered at the guesthouse. Travellers found the signal too weak, and had to keep reconnecting if they wanted to continue to stay in touch.

Not enough parking available

Most guests did not find a parking right outside the guesthouse. Many of them reported having to park quite a number of blocks away due to this very popular and busy area.

No TV here

Several travellers just wanted to settle down and relax in front of the TV for the evening, but with no luck. You will have to go off-site or catch up via your tablet or cell phone to keep abreast of current affairs.
