Positive Reviews

A room with a view.

Rooms are well decorated and appointed ... and some enjoy sensational sea-views which, themselves, are worth a fortune! This is the reason for the visit and the rooms, setting and views are designed to leave you decidedly not disappointed.

Sensational service and smiles.

The Bistro is VERY popular and in other hands, service would suffer at very busy times. They thrive on it here though; the busier the better. Everyone gets served and everyone enjoys the occasion; including, it seems, the hard-working staff.

No diminished service for non-residents!

Travellers can call in here and get the same excellent and inclusive breakfast as resident guests. Fancy getting married? You're bound to say 'yes' when the reception is here. Everyone whizzes round endlessly to ensure that the day is perfect.

Negative Reviews

If it wasn't so crowded … more people would come

Particularly during the summer, you need to book your Bistro table in advance. Otherwise, at best, you are likely to find yourself eating in the already packed out bar.

No sound-proofing.

The rooms don't have much, if any, soundproofing; so noise can be a problem when trying to sleep. It's surprising that, in this idyllic setting, other guests roll back noisily in the early hours.

Concerns about food and service.

The food is OK but, somehow, you expect something better than what is delivered. Prepare to be disappointed.  When they're busy-which is quite often- there are delays in getting seated and then things go missing from the order. Breakfast, on the other hand, is fine and spoilt only by the self-service coffee machine which is frankly ‘naff'.
