Guests love the fact that car parking is provided free at The Barksdale House Inn. So, if you're planning to hire a car during your trip to Charleston, you won't have to worry about any extra parking charges when staying at this hotel.

Tasty, free food

If you enjoy free treats, then you'll relish the complimentary breakfast and afternoon tea served here. Negative Reviews

Beds not to everyone's liking

The beds, which are a period feature of the rooms, don't suit everyone's tastes. A few guests described the beds as uncomfortable and for some the beds were also too short. However, other guests found the beds very comfortable and felt they added to the whole ambiance of the room.

Renovation work ongoing

Some guests report that they were inconvenienced by renovation work in the porch area of the hotel. It's not clear how long this programme of work will last and it may have already been completed.

Wi-Fi erratic at times

It seems that the complimentary Wi-Fi can sometimes be erratic and difficult to connect to it.
