About The Colesbourne Inn

The Colesbourne Inn is a 3 star, 19th century coaching inn, midway between Cheltenham and Cirencester, in the Cotswolds.

En-suite rooms at The Colesbourne Inn are annexed to the main building and include flat screen TV, free Wi-Fi and tea and coffee making facilities.  They are traditional in style and comfortably furnished.

Free parking is available and there is a guest lounge in which to relax.  The main areas, though, are also available to non-residents.  They are devoted to dining and drinking in a classic public house environment and include further facilities for social and business events.

Food is available throughout the day; from breakfast choices, through to comprehensive lunch, dinner and bar menus.

The inn is set in 2 acres of grounds on the A435 and is a convenient point from which to explore a number of Cotswold based attractions.

Positive Reviews

Great location.

From here, Cheltenham, Cirencester and Gloucester, are all within striking distance, as is the Cotswolds region generally and all those picturesque villages.

Rooms are annexed to the bar and restaurant.

Consequently, if turning in for an early night, the noise from these areas isn’t as intrusive as it might otherwise have been.

Free parking.

Always a welcome bonus + worthy of a mention. If on a city or resort break, you’d probably be paying well over the odds for parking!

Negative Reviews

Slating the food.

The latest fad is to serve food on a slate, not a plate! Pretentious and messy. If you wanted to eat in this way, you’d go and sit on the roof! The food itself is fine – but not the daft way they serve it. Maybe the next fad will be a paving slab. Don’t f

Noisy rooms.

The road is quite busy so noise can be a factor; compounded by the fact that there is no secondary glazing in evidence.

Disappointed diner.

There’s a shortage of veggie options, particularly at breakfast and for meat eaters, the quality of breakfast bacon and sausage leaves something to be desired.
