Positive Reviews

Location, location, location

Guests rave about the hotel's location just north of the Loop, noting that many of the city's best restaurants are within walking distance, and the Magnificent Mile is just four city blocks away. Navy Pier, the Art Institute, Millenium Park, and the Willis Tower are within walking distance for most, and the El and subway stations are also close by for an easy commute to more distant attractions such as the Field Museum, Aquarium, or Lincoln Park Zoo.

Five star customer service..

The front desk and concierge staff receive rave reviews for their friendly, helpful, and professional customer service. Many guests are quick to single out the individual team member who manages the breakfast, noting she keeps the buffet well stocked while cheerfully directing traffic, and is particularly popular with the little ones for her genuine smile and help making their custom waffles. Guests are generally happy with the variety and quality of the hot and cold buffet dishes as well.

Clean, comfortable rooms with a view

Most guests describe the rooms as very clean and modern, with comfortable beds and well equipped kitchens. Few fail to comment on the stunning city views from the upper floors, and everyone can enjoy a bird's eye look at the city from the fitness center on the 27th floor.

Negative Reviews

Pricey parking..

Several guests were dismayed by the price of valet and self parking on site, though most go on to note that is not out of line with the going rate for parking in downtown Chicago.

Small pool..

Several guests note that the pool is small for the size of the hotel, with an occupancy of 18 people. Some have also noted that the cardio equipment is not aging particularly well.

Nobody's perfect..

Though reviews are largely positive, a few unlucky guests have reported housekeeping oversights, mix-ups at check-in, and slow elevators.
