Positive Reviews

Good location for passing through.

Those driving north to destinations like Scotland or the Lakes District, or vice versa, found the location of Hunters Lodge to be handy for the motorway, while the motel is also useful for those with business in Chorley.

Great value for what you pay.

Given that the low room rates were found to buy basic and comfortable accommodation, with everything you need, free parking and a handy bar, most were happy with their stay.

Nothing too much trouble for staff.

You will find the staff to be very friendly and helpful — many guests have experienced great service and nothing appears to be too much trouble for the team.

Negative Reviews

Needs renovation inside and out.

Although guests thought Hunters Lodge was a bit shabby and in need of an overhaul inside and out, the rooms do however offer everything needed for a night’s rest and given the very reasonable price, most were happy to overlook the dated appearance.

Too remote for those without car.

This was not a problem for a vast majority of guests, but keep in mind that the motel is fairly remote for those not travelling by car and there are not very many options for public transport.
