Positive Reviews

Well Equipped Room

The guesthouse rooms are well equipped. You will probably be impressed, as they are certainly value for money. You can expect a toaster, microwave, well-stocked fridge, fresh pint of warm milk everyday, and a lot more!

Furnishings And Hospitality Are Up To Standard

Most travellers are picky about the cleanliness of bathrooms. The guesthouse bathroom is clean and free of mould. Beds are comfortable and the corridors and landing are nicely decorated. The owners are extremely accommodating as well. For example, there have been instances with visitors arriving prior to check-in time; however, they were well received and their rooms were available in a reasonable amount of time. Requests are tended to expediently and the owners are pleasant and affable.

The Location Is Worth The Stay

Who wouldn't love this location? The train station is a short walk away and it's easy walking to the centre of town. Ask for the “Sea View” room and delight in a wonderful view in the morning.

Negative Reviews

It's A DIY Breakfast

“Breakfast included” is advertised but it may not be what you have in mind. It's a “do it yourself” breakfast, meaning you have to cook it yourself. Sure, it's convenient that food is supplied and you have utensils in your room; however, depending on whether you feel you are getting your money's worth, cooking your own breakfast might be a turn-off.

The Room Is Alive

The room has various creaks and what not. For instance, you may find the fridge loudly humming, and the road noise can be deafening. During the hot summer months either you have a choice of being hot or opening the window.

The Straight And Narrow

The en suite bathroom is like walking the plank on a ship. It's very narrow and the sink is teeny. There may be a problem brushing your teeth due to the possibility of hitting your head on the shelf!
