Positive Reviews

Old fashioned country charm

Guests often comment about the traditional features of Woodland Manor The roaring log fire, relaxing music and period furniture attract plenty of positive remarks The stately home character is a plus point for many visitors.

Great service from staff

The attitude of the staff at Woodland Manor seems to fit nicely with the overall old world charm Although there are a few negative comments, these are few and far between and the majority of guests found the team to be welcoming and friendly during their stay.

Beautiful garden

If you’re lucky enough to have nice weather during your stay, you can take full advantage of the gorgeous garden Guests thought it was well maintained and the perfect spot to enjoy a walk There are various outdoor seating options dotted about the grounds.

Negative Reviews

Probably due to the fact that Woodland Manor is so old, you can’t drink water from the taps Plenty of guests think the hotel should compensate for this by providing free bottled water Unfortunately, that’s not the case and you’ll have to fork out extra cash every time you want to drink water.

Some rooms are showing their age

While some guests were happy with the standard of their room, others felt they looked a little worn around the edges Specifically, some reviews mention tatty furniture, outdated décor and a generally neglected appearance while some remark there are iron marks on the carpets.

Afternoon tea a little disappointing

Although there are plenty of nice comments about the restaurant, not many guests are all that impressed with the afternoon tea Problems include too thick or too thin bread, no garnish and huge slabs of cake that look out of place on the dainty china.
