Positive Reviews

The most central hotel in Derry

Of course as the only hotel within the old city walls, this place is the only choice for visiting the city You can walk to anything of interest within the city It is a beautiful old city and your stay in the hotel makes it all the better.

Local charm made the trip

The staff in the hotel are so friendly, with the lady in the restaurant with the infectious smile receiving abundant praise The bar staff are busy but still have a smile for guests while the room service waiter has been singled out as providing five-star service.

Comfortable rooms

Hotel rooms often have a cold and sterile feeling, but the rooms here are warm and welcoming Many have reported a lovely stay in an extremely comfy bed.

Negative Reviews

Poor lighting not good for the eyes

The lights in the room may be dim for some, and while this might create a very relaxing atmosphere, it’s not great for reading before bedtime This shouldn’t be a major drawback in booking this hotel.

Limited parking

They advertise underground parking but there isn’t a lot of space and after taking the car out for a drive you may have to park on the street The car park is also quite small so don’t use it if you have a big car.

Make sure your room isn’t over the bar

Some guests have reported that the bar downstairs is quite lively and lots of fun but not so much fun for those of that like to sleep before midnight Try to book a room that is not above the bar if you want an early night.
