Positive Reviews

Service with a smile.

Guests leave plenty of comments about how friendly they found the staff at the Premier Inn Dover A20. You’ll find they are welcoming, efficient and more than happy to go out of their way to assist guests during their stay.

Comfortable rooms.

Although the rooms at this hotel are no-frills, you’ll find the accommodation is spotlessly clean and comfortable. In particular, the new beds have proved a big hit with guests. Plus, you’ll enjoy a decent selection of amenities.

Good location.

This hotel has the obvious appeal of being within a few minutes’ drive of the Eurotunnel entrance but it also places you within easy reach of a great many area attractions. The iconic White Cliffs of Dover and Dover Castle are particular hotspots.

Negative Reviews

Rooms are a bit too basic for some.

Although agreeing that the rooms are comfortable, some guests found them a little too basic. One even described the accommodation as primitive, although the real issues seem to be minor concerns such as a lack of accessible power points and inadequate toiletries.

Slow service in the restaurant.

Most guests were reasonably satisfied with the food on offer in the Plough restaurant but a fair number comment that the service was sometimes unbearably slow. A few guests waited almost an hour before their drinks order was even taken.

Hot temperatures.

It seems that this hotel might not be the best choice during warmer weather. The lack of air-conditioning means you could be facing some fairly uncomfortable temperatures. You can ask for a fan but they’re not as effective as proper air-con.
