Positive Reviews

Close to everything; but very quiet

This is a wonderfully convenient location, right in the heart of Durban. A major shopping mall is a near neighbour and you have plenty of restaurants to choose from. It is though, very quiet and the district feels completely safe. Once you’ve parked the car, just leave it. You can walk virtually anywhere.

Super accommodation

The accommodation is perfect and spotlessly clean. There is a lot to choose from, including the two bedroom apartments which are particularly popular with families. Self-catering isn’t a problem as the kitchen contains everything you need.

Everyone who works here is ace!

The owners and members of staff couldn’t be more friendly and helpful.

Negative Reviews

An exhausting trek to the beach

In all honesty, it is a bit of a jaunt to get to the beach. It isn’t all that close.

Skimping on towels and skipping on floors

The supply of towels and blankets is a bit frugal. Particularly in the cooler weather, more blankets in the room would be nice. Once you raise the issue, though, it is sorted immediately and without fuss. It would just be nice not to have to do that. These wooden floors are a noisy nightmare. It sounds if neighbouring rooms are jumping up and down, or skipping, just for the sake of it.

Breakfast choice

If you opt for breakfast, make sure you specify what you want and when you want it. Otherwise, you just get something chosen by them and served at their most convenient time. Again, though, this is easily sorted. Breakfast is quite expensive and possibly priced in order to encourage you to eat out, or indulge in a little catering ... DIY style.
