Positive Reviews

Substantial breakfast.

Breakfast is a definite highlight at the hotel with quality ingredients cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. The hot breakfast is cooked to order and there is also a selection of continental offerings to choose from. The restaurant is elegant yet contemporary and the perfect place to enjoy a meal.

Relaxed atmosphere.

The hotel has a very friendly atmosphere which starts as soon as you check in. Service is professional and efficient yet discreet and unhurried. Staff try to remember you by name meaning it feels very homely and personal and this leads to lots of return guests. The hotel also offers an entertainment programme.

Central location in Eastbourne.

Situated just a short walk from Eastbourne’s seafront and award winning beaches, the hotel is also close to all local attractions, shops and restaurants whilst being in a quiet, calm location. There is on street parking available in the vicinity of the property for anyone arriving by car. It is worth waking just along the coast to visit Eastbourne’s beautiful pier.

Negative Reviews

Wi-Fi access not great.

Wi-Fi is free to guests but it is difficult to get a signal and it often cuts off. Guests have recommended that the hotel invest in this further in order to improve their stay.

Rooms are traditional.

The hotel bedrooms are decorated in quite a traditional manner and though the majority of guests like the homely feel there are a handful of previous guests who had been expecting something more contemporary.

Some rooms bigger than others.

Guests have found that some rooms are smaller than others with some being quite cramped whilst others being bright and spacious.
