Positive Reviews

Superb breakfast served every morning

Guests couldn’t stop raving about the breakfast, saying that it was especially delicious. It also seemed to have sufficient quantity and variety to please all guests. Those with special diets, such as vegetarians, felt that they were more than adequately accommodated, rather than treated like an afterthought.

Clean and very smart property

Guests were very impressed with the physical property itself. They said that it was clear that it had either been very recently renovated or was kept in immaculate condition on an ongoing basis - or perhaps both. They also reported that it was kept immaculately clean during their stay, with the rooms, and especially the public areas, of the hotel said to be kept absolutely immaculately clean at all times.

Terrific guest house hosts

The guest house owners/hosts, Dora and James, came in for an incredible amount of praise from their guests. They were said to be the consummate innkeepers, offering a warm and friendly welcome and making sure that their guests had all that they needed to enjoy their stay in the Scottish capital, including local information.

Negative Reviews

Some bathrooms very small

Guests in certain rooms at the guest house complained that their bathroom was really very small, making it a bit awkward to use comfortably.
