Positive Reviews

The rooms have a view

You'll likely get a really great view of the gardens from the window of your guestroom, which is a lovely thing to wake up to in the morning.

There's comfort aplenty

The beds at The Royal Terrace are generally excellent and well-sized What's more, they are situated in rooms which are also spacious and impeccably clean, making for a comfortable stay.

The location of this hotel is great

The hotel is perfectly situated, in that it is ideal for bus and rail links into the main hub, but secluded enough to give a relaxed atmosphere and make you feel distanced from the hustle and bustle of the city If you don't want to stay right in the centre but would like to be within walking distance, then this place is spot on.

The staff couldn't be nicer

You'll be greeted by very welcoming and friendly staff upon your arrival This level of customer service will continue throughout your stay, as nothing is too much trouble for the hotel's employees Everyone you encounter is really helpful and nice.

Negative Reviews

The hotel internet is unreliable at best

One problem at The Royal Terrace is that the Wi-Fi is pretty patchy, even in the lobby area The coverage in guestrooms is even more hit-and-miss Sometimes it seems to be working perfectly and then, for no apparent reason, it cuts off.

Noise punctuates the peace

While the atmosphere is generally serene, there can be a bit of noise from the cobbled street and also from the air-conditioner units which are directly outside some guestroom windows.

I'm sticking with you!

A small problem but a quite annoying one: the shower curtains have a tendency to stick to you, so you'll have to keep peeling it off yourself!
