Positive Reviews

Appealing location

Guests rate the location of No 11 highly. Set on a residential street, you'll be spared much of the noise of the city centre, yet will remain within a 15 to 20-minute walk of many of the area's must-see attractions. Guests also note the proximity of Waverley Train Station.

Beautiful rooms and suites

The rooms and suites at this hotel certainly seem to impress guests. As this is an “A” listed historic building, you can expect to find fabulous original features complementing modern conveniences and luxuries.

Fine dining

Reviews almost always rate the standard of the fine dining menu in the Brasserie highly, with many guests commenting on the unusual items available. This certainly seems to be a spot to enjoy something a little different. Guests tend to find the food is reasonable priced.

Negative Reviews

Occasional issues at breakfast

While the Brasserie typically attracts positive feedback, some reviews suggest that not quite as much effort is put into breakfast compared to the lunches and evening meals. A number of guests found the portion sizes were meager and the overall experience rather disappointing.

Older property

As this hotel is housed in an older building, there are some quirks you will need to put up. Firstly, there is no lift and the number of stairs makes accessing the hotel/brasserie difficult for those with limited mobility. Also, the lack of double glazing left some guests feeling cold.

Parking can be problematic

Guests mention that parking near the hotel can be an issue. Presumably there are long stay options somewhere in the city but the nearest spots to the hotel seem to require payments every four hours (apart from overnight).
