Nice rooms.

You’ll find the rooms here are fairly basic but offer spotlessly clean and comfortable surroundings. The beds are of a high standard and the televisions are of a reasonable size. Some rooms even offer views of Edinburgh Castle and the historic Old Town.

Don’t expect to part with too much of your cash to spend the night here. Guests describe the rates as very reasonable, especially considering the standard of the accommodation. It’s basic but clean and well maintained.

Immediate surroundings are off-putting.

Despite reviews indicating that the inside of the hotel is rather pleasant, it seems that the same cannot be said about its immediate surroundings. Guests describe the side street leading to the hotel as poorly lit, dingy and full of wheelie bins.

Excessive noise.

Although the city centre location of this hotel means that you should expect some noise from the surrounding bars and entertainment venues. Some guests described it as unbearable and would not choose to stay here again. Pack earplugs!
