In the middle of Nafplio's historical centre opposite to the church of St.Spiridina, you will find the Hotel Byron in a carefully restored ancient building. All the localities in the property have the touch of a traditional old building and express a warm and friendly atmosphere. The rooms with view on Nafplio, the sea or the castle are all equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. Nafplio, a town in the east of the Peloponnese has a rich history; the Franks, the Turks, the Venetians passed through. The citadels Bourtzi, Palamidi and Akronafplia are witnesses from the history of the Argolic harbour from Nafplio. Several museums show us a rich historical past: the Archeological Museum, the Folklore Museum, the Picture Gallery and the War Museum. Mycenae, Epidaurus, Tyrins and ancient Korinth are only some of the sites which are near Nafplio. Nafplio is easy to reach from Athens airport in a two hour journey by car.
