This location is quite convenient for travelling around the city. The Empire State Building is just a 10-minute walk and Times Square is about 30 minutes away by foot. This hotel is near many shops and restaurants including a four-minute walk to Macys. Madison Square Garden and Penn Station are just a short walk away as well, and there are two subway lines a block away.
Guests say that all of the employees at this hotel are warm and hospitable. Service is key and this staff is on top of their service game. Everyone is extremely helpful, whether it's offering recommendations, giving directions, or just fetching extra towels.
Many guests say the walls are thin and you can hear your neighbours, from their converstations to flushing the toilet. Doors slamming and general noise from the coridors is also an isse.
Not only is the heating unit rather noisy, but it can also be tempermental. Some guests report finding it difficult to establish a comfortable temperature.
Unlike the rooms, bathrooms seem to be on the small side and not well laid out. There isn't very much storage space or counter space for personal toiletries. It feels quite cramped and you have to stand right next to the toilet just to open or close the bathroom door.
