Cape Heritage Hotel (Cape Town, South Africa)

Cape Heritage is a 4 star hotel located in Cape Town’s fashionable Heritage Square. The building itself dates from the 17th century. There are just 17 rooms categorised as standard, luxury and suites but all of the rooms are individually furnished and feature historical and period furnishings from times gone by as well as high-beamed teak ceilings, sash windows and 200-year-old Cape yellowwood floors. Standard room amenities include wireless Internet connectivity, minibar, satellite TV and individually controlled heating. All rooms are en suite with both bathtubs and showers. A Continental style breakfast is included in the price of the room rate and this is served in two sittings at 7.00am for early risers and at 10.30am for those wishing to have a lie in. The Vine Room can accommodate up to 15 guests for business meetings and guests. This room faces the courtyard which is said to contain the oldest fruit bearing grape vine in South Africa. During the summer months meals are served in the courtyard under the shade of this vine, which was plated around 1771. Services provided by the Cape Heritage include babysitting and a chauffeur service.
