Amsterdam American Hotel is set within a 1900s building which was classed in 1972 as an "Art Nouveau" monument. It is located on the Leidseplein in the heart of Amsterdam's city centre, nearby to the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and the Vondelpark. The Leidseplein is one of the city's main squares, sheltering a wide variety of bars, restaurants and in the nearby streets, nightclubs. The hotel contains 175 guestrooms which have high speed Internet, 24 hour room service, a mini bar, flat screen TV with on demand movies and many of the rooms have canal views. The free fitness facilities include a sauna.
