If you arrive by car, you can easily find the hotel and will appreciate the nearby parking. If you'd rather park your car for the duration of your stay, guests noted that the hotel offers a decent location near the bus stop and within walking distance of the Dimond Center Mall with its many shops, restaurants and even a bowling alley, a movie theater and an ice-skating rink. Popular attractions like downtown Anchorage, Seward Highway and the Botanical Gardens.
According to many guests, the front-desk staff is pleasant and efficient, which resulted in short check-in times. The shuttle drivers received praise for their friendliness as well as their detailed knowledge concerning the local area and its shops, restaurants and attractions.
Guests found the rooms to be very spacious and stated that the beds were quite comfortable. They also loved the large soaking tubs, from which you can even watch TV as several guests suggested.
Several guests reported that the shuttle bus only showed up after a rather long wait, and the maintenance personnel took several hours and failed to complete the work required on occasion even.
Some guests found the staff to be performing rather superficial cleaning jobs, as there was little attention to detail and some dirt and trash was still left behind. For example, guests reported finding hair in the bathroom and beds, and the trash cans weren't always emptied.
A few guests had trouble getting the room they had specific during booking, and special requests regarding floor, location or amenities were not always honored.
