Eisenhower Hotel and Conference Center (Gettysburg, USA)

The Gettysburg area has some interesting sites and attractions. If you love museums and battlefield memorabilia, this hotel is for you. The National Museum and the Battlefield Museum are good places to start.

The breakfast is good, but basic. Nothing particularly special and it cost extra. The gift shop offers a good choice of trinkets along with little snacks.

The maintenance crew are quite helpful. Though there are many things that require their attention, they apologize for the inconvenience and lack of services, which helps you to tolerate the discomforts much better.

The hotel seems to have gone pass its heyday. It needs a good overhaul. Dirty carpet, peeling wallpaper, chipped paint on windows, mix-matched furniture, outdated TV, the list goes on. You may feel the price isn't worth what you get in exchange.

The wall sockets are loose, which makes it difficult to keep your devices plugged in. The lighting is poor as well, and Wi-Fi is nearly non-existent. You may encounter a musty odor, unwelcome critters like bugs, and poor plumbing. Unfortunately, the hotel doesn't seem to live up to the hype of such a historical name.

The hotel personnel seems defensive, rude, and dissatisfied. It appears as though they have no interest in being on the job. It's not good when this is one of the first impressions you receive upon entering the hotel. It's certainly an indicator of what's to come later on, as the hotel has seen better days.
