The central location makes it the ideal base for exploring Ireland being just 90 minutes drive from Dublin and Galway on the Wild Atlantic Way, the Cliffs of Moher, Connemara and less than 60 minutes driver from Kilkenny and the Rock of Cashel. There are many local attractions such as Ireland\'s most haunted castle Leap Castle, Birr Castle Gardens with it\'s Giant Telescope, Tullamore Dew Visitor\'s Centre , Kilbeggan Distillery, Lough Boora Parklands and Sculpture Park where you can hire bicycles to cycle the many looped trails. Nearby heritage sites include Clonmacnoise, the Georgian town of Birr, Emo Court House and Gardens.\r\nNot to be missed on Wednesday nights there is a wonderful traditional music and singing session in a nearby pub.\r\nThe house is situated in it\'s own private grounds with private garden and off road parking.
