Our only 2 complaints- only one roll of TP in each bathroom, so we ran out after 1 night with 7 people (we didn’t think to bring extra just for the weekend); and inaccurate sleeping arrangements listed. There are no twin beds- I guess the seating corner upstairs was listed as that, which is smaller than a twin mattress (and very thin). Comfortably, it sleeps 6 adults (if sharing- there are 3 beds total) and then 2 kids/smaller adults on the corner seating upstairs. However, overall I LOVED this booking!! There was a ton of seating, so we were all able to fit comfortably everywhere. The view was amazing on the lake and the area was super quiet. It’s in the middle of nowhere, so if you’re looking for a quiet getaway, this is the perfect place. Easy access to the dock/lake, nice outdoor seating, tons of shade, a nice fire pit, and great amenities overall inside and outside. Would love to come back!

This was an absolute gem of a find. My brothers and I stayed here to celebrate getting married and the house did not disappoint. Tons of space to hang out in and the amenities were a good selection. Fire pit, grills/smokers, balconies, the piers. Super happy with our stay. Will definitely consider staying down here again.

The views are great. Kitchen could use some bowls for cereal etc and lots of stairs. Go down to kitchen and up to sleep and potty would not work for someone that can not do steps. Boat dock is great to have and nice fire pit and comfy chairs on porch again with a great view. I would not rent again

Really enjoyed the location and fire pit and dock.

I love the view and being in the water. We enjoyed every moment. The fire pit was awesome and pieceful. It was raining the first 2 days but besides that everything was peaceful listening to the rain on the porch to the last night being able to use the firepit. This is my favorite place to stay.

First I will say the renter was very generous in letting us check in a couple hours early because we were getting ready for my daughter’s graduation. Also, there was lots of seating outside to enjoy the gorgeous view. I do wish the listing had been more specific about the sleeping arrangements. There is one bedroom with a queen size bed and one bedroom with a full. The master also has a full and the stairs leading up to that room from the kitchen does not have a door. If you need complete privacy, there are only 2 rooms that will be completely behind closed doors. I had to contact the renter when we got there because the couches did not fold out couldn’t find all the beds! There are two bench seats with a thin cushion in the main living area and those are considered the twin beds. They are not in a bedroom as advertised, smaller than a twin bed and the cushion was very thin and nothing at all close to what sleeping on a mattress feels like. We had a great time, it was packed full of fun memories. We went to Auburn game, sat around fire pit and did s'mores, and my 3 year old grandson caught his first fish. It was sooo much fun hope to do it again in the spring.

Great place to stay very private and beautiful

This property was just as described and provided remarkable views of Lake Martin. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well-stocked. There was plenty of space for a fantastic girls getaway and the bonus was having 3 refrigerators -- no coolers needed! Never fear about Alabama heat and dreadful humidity, as the AC units work perfectly. The property does sit on a considerable slope - tennis shoes recommended over flip flops for us older folks. Great hostess who always responded immediately re: questions. You will not regret booking this beautiful Lake Martin home.

My family stayed here over a weekend while we attended wedding events in Eclectic. The house itself is pretty neat; we particularly enjoyed sitting together on the lower porch facing the lake. We even managed to work in a swim one morning. Thank you for sharing this place!

I would love to go back and stay in the future! My friends and I had so much fun! We loved that it was right next to the lake!

The house is on a beautiful setting on a quiet part of the lake with great views and lots of outdoor seating. There is a really nice dock for fishing, sunbathing, and launching kayaks. We also enjoyed the firepit outside. It was a nice place for our family to gather for our daughter's college graduation weekend. The only downsides were 1) the microwave did not work which made it difficult to quickly heat up food for our group. I sent the owner an email to ask if she had any suggestions for hitting a reset switch, but I did not get a response. 2) I saw some roaches in the house (which probably is common in a wooded area on the lake), but one ran through the drawer with cooking utensils so I recommend washing all dishes before using them 3) There is a musty smell in the house (also probably comes with most lake houses that are in high humidity). We were able to leave doors open to mitigate it.

Perfect weekend getaway! Comfortable, clean and great access to water!

Owner was amazing and quick to answer any questions we had. The home was beautiful and clean. The deck was well maintained and the kids had a great time fishing from them. We are already planning a summer trip back to the same home.

Very pleased with our stay

This was our second year to vacation here. Very relaxing and nice spot on the water. We missed the lily pad this year but one of our guests really enjoyed the new fish light and spent the weekend fishing.

Relaxing lake vacation

My family had a wonderful time at this beautiful lake home. It is plenty spacious and comfortable for a group. Whether you would like to sit on the upper deck or the back porch or sit on the pier and read a book, you are well accommodated. If you need to stay inside in the air conditioning, you will still have a beautiful view to enjoy. The beds are full size beds but are really comfortable. There is a sofa bed, a sectional sofa and two built-in beds that can be used as well. The kitchen is well stocked with items you need and the side porch offers two grills, one gas and one charcoal. I can't think of anything we needed that we didn't have and we hope to stay here again soon!

This review I give I hope does not raise my price next time. Meaning value goes up if review goes up. This house was a hidden gem, I booked super early but kept touch with owner leading up to dates. Very responsive and fast answers each time. House is great. Clean and maintained. My family and I came during a school break. Fun time fishing, grilling and relaxing. Going back and hope to get same house.

Lake Martian 2019 Early Break

We Enjoyed the Relaxation House At Lake Martin very much! Had Family come over for a pre Christmas Dinner. There was plenty of room and everything we needed. It was quite cold so we used the fireplace which was nice. Great Views of the Lake. Bet it's a lot of fun in the summer.

Great Weekend Get Away!

Great time! Lots of games, bedding and pillows, fluffy towels, plenty of cookware and dishes. Really nice!

Very relaxing

The location was perfect and in a quiet area of the Lake with easy access to the main part of the lake. Great outdoor space with tons of outdoor seating. Easily sleeps 10. We had 8 and there was plenty of room. Great dock for boat. The two things I would tell future renters is that first there is no dishwasher. We did not bring paper goods but would recommend doing so. Also, the driveway is very steep and would be difficult to navigate with a boat. We launched our boat before we got there so not an issue for us. Would recommend this house to others!

We really enjoyed our visit. We brought floats and lounged in the water the entire time. The washer /dryer was nice so we could wash our swim suits and towels each day. We had 5 people and there was plenty of seating everywhere. Kitchen was well equipped for our needs. We will book for our reunion again next year.

The property was great, good location, & comfortable. Kids a great time with the kayaks. The negative things about this property was the internet and phone service.

Great and relaxing house! Loved it.

We stayed during spring break and although it was still cold outside, we had a wonderful time. We had a group of 8 and the home was more than accommodating. Plenty to do indoors on nasty days and beautiful views! The home was easy to find, very clean, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. Would love to visit again in the summer!

Wonderful Home!

this home definitely sleeps more than 10 people, especially if people bring air mattresses as there's plenty of room for those around the house. the kitchen is downstairs, which was weird but cool. the view was gorgeous and the docks were so cute! there were two separate staircases, one goes straight into the master bedroom and there's no door so that lacks a little privacy, but it was cool none the less. this house was perfect and sooo cute and quirky!! would stay again!!

Wonderful house!!

We went for auburn family weekend and decided to find a relaxing place instead of a hotel. This place did it. It's quiet , charming and cozy. We even had time to slow down enough to play bingo with the family ! Melissa was great to rent from also !

Auburn homecoming / mini vacation

My family & I rented this house to get away from hurricane Irma and we had a wonderful stay. Owners were very nice & quick to respond to any questions I had before making the reservation. Very understanding of our situation!! House was clean and organized. Big and plenty of room for 10 people. Beautiful view of the Lake as well. Even though half the time we were glued on the news we were able to relax and enjoy the little unexpected vaca we had !! We hope to return and actually enjoy it even more!

Amazing!

There was plenty of room for all 9 of us. Kitchen was well stocked. A great plus was the additional 2 refrigerators on the BarBQ patio. View of the lake was wonderful. Dock was enjoyed by every one. Water was deep. Wildlife was fun to watch - including 2 green-head mallard ducks that literally flew in next to a he dock, climbed on shore, waddled straight up to the porch, then took a piece of bread right out of my daughter's mouth!?!

It was above all our expectations.

A beautiful home, enjoyed it so much

Lovely house in a nice quiet section of Lake Martin. Great view of the lake(I could get used to waking up to that view every morning) The home was very comfortable and clean. Kitchen had everything needed to cook great meals. We had a great time!

Very relaxing place to unwind!

We enjoyed this home. It is very roomy and clean and the heat and a/c work fine. It is a two-story home and is located on the lake at the bottom of a steep hill. If your vehicle is difficult to maneuver, you must park at the top and walk down. Again, it is very steep. My elderly parents had quite a hard time. It is a beautiful spot for a family vacation, though. There is lots of room for outdoor fun, dining, and entertaining. I would love to spend a week.... or a summer there!

Very private/ remote get away

Pretty secluded but with neighbors nearby. 3 bedrooms with a large couch in lower level family room. Was really quiet with no real vehicle traffic and limited fishing traffic on the water. View of the lake was great and we were able to enjoy some kayaking. Water was calm and we saw some wildlife including an eagle. Relatively close to Eclectic where you can get groceries and gas or eat at one of a few restaurants. Communication was great and we really enjoyed our stay

Fun and relaxing short vacation

We stayed at the lake house during the week of Thanksgiving and it was a wonderful experience. It's not very far from Auburn where we have family. The spot on the lake was beautiful and peaceful with plenty to do for the whole family. The owners were very nice and accommodating. We plan to book again soon.

Perfect for a family getaway

We loved every minute of our time here. Thought it would be a bummer being so far from Chimney Rock, but it was a great boat ride over there! Really enjoyed the quiet cove, and skiing and wake boarding in the evening on the smooth water. Fishing in the morning was great too. Cannot wait to come back to Lake Martin!

Had an amazing time!

We had a great stay at this property. We found things available and in good working order, just as listed in the description. Lots of room, and a gorgeous view. We loved that there were two living spaces...one for kids and one for adults. The location is wonderful. A quiet, beautiful cove. So, glad the AC worked well, because we had hot weather. We enjoyed the dock, swimming, and kyacking. Thanks!

This home was lovely. There's plenty of places to sit and relax on the porches, and inside the home. The location of the house was quiet enough for anyone. We loved fishing off the dock,which was very convenient. Also,LOVEd the bbq pit and outside speakers!

The property was absolutely great and we had an excellent vacation. Could not ask for a better spot on the lake - quiet slew with plenty of water depth for most any size boat, and views of the lake on two sides of the house!The house itself is well kept and was very well stocked with towels, sheets, etc. Kitchen is well stocked, too. Master bedroom has awesome views. Layout of the house is great, with multiple indoor and outdoor spaces to hang out. The pier/dock is great with plenty of good places to tie off if you bring a boat, and the floating section is a great place to lay out in the sun.We definitely hope to go back again, and recommend this rental if you want to stay on Lake Martin!

Ideal Lake Martin vacation spot

The pictures do not do this place justice. The house was clean and well stocked. Beds were very comfortable. Plenty of space for everyone inside and on the covered porches The kids loved the 2nd living room, the kayaks, and the pier. My favorite part was relaxing on the front porch while the kids (9, 10) and swam. House is close enough to the water where I didnt have to sit on the dock. We can't wait to come back!

Simply Wonderful

We were extremely happy with both the house and the view. The house was very easy to find as our GPS took us to the home with ease. It was immaculate and well equipped for day to day living. We enjoyed it so much that what started as a 3 night stay was extended to 5 nights with hopes of coming back in the future. There is ample sleeping space without being on top of one another and more than enough linens. The photos really don't do it justice. With three covered patios, one large deck and a huge balcony the view is magnificent. Located on a bend in the lake it allows for a lake view from two sides of the home. The master bedroom has one wall of solid windows so when you wake you sit up to see this amazing view of the lake. Just breathtaking!! There is a television in both living rooms and one in each bedroom. All of which were hooked up to internet. The house is equipped with wifi which had no problem supporting all of our lap tops, i pads and so forth going at once. Three piers just outside the house made for a perfect spot to dock our boat. We just woke up and fished from the pier or took the boat out. It all made for a wonderful experience!!

Wonderful lake house experience!!

We stayed at the house for four days in March. The house was clean and in a quiet area. My husband and I brought our 25 foot boat. There is a marina about two miles away and we launched there. One tip I will give to potential guests, the driveway is steep! Do not plan to park a boat in the driveway. We were fortunately in a four wheel drive vehicle and my husband was able to park the trailer with little effort. Melissa was very kind and informative. We loved our getaway to Lake Martin, and hope to go back in the summer!

Relaxation at it's best

Our trip began with very poor directions. If you're traveling after dark, we suggest you do a drive-by during daylight hours. How hard would it be to actually state the mileage? Upon entering, we were overwhelmed with a smell that seemed to be a combination of several dogs & old house musty odor. Obviously an issue as there were industrial strength cans of air freshener on each floor. Every dish required washing by hand prior to use.....they were covered in a film of grease....and probably because there is no actual dishwasher. Seriously? No dishwasher. But the worst issue was bed bugs. We have bites on legs, arms & torso. I contacted the owner to inform, we were offered no partial refund for our poor experience....just told we've had hundreds of renters & never experienced this problem." Well

More than disappointing.

We loved this getaway, the house was perfect with plenty of room, clean and well stocked. A relaxing and fun getaway. We love the porches, balcony, and view is wonderful. We will definitely go back.

The property is in a convenient location, easy to get to. It is on a beautiful lot, great views.

We were very pleased with the feeling of being at your own place. The view was beautiful from the master bedroom and the kayake experience was breath taking.
