Perfect for being near wedding venue!

Two families stayed here for a mountain bike weekend. Everything was great-- location, view, communication with the owners. The unit is clean, comfortable and has everything you need.

Bike in bike out!

We were here for a wedding and the location could not be more perfect. It’s right on the trailhead to so many bike trails and very close to town. The hosts were communicative and awesome! Only issue is the deposit is pretty steep, so crossing fingers we get it all back otherwise it would be a bummer way to end a great weekend!

Amazing weekend in Vermont!

Location, location, location. Can’t beat it. Close proximity to trails, food trucks, ice cream, The Orange Rind, and everything East Burke has to offer. Property had everything we needed for our stay.

Excellent location, beautiful view!

Another great stay at the Carriage House. I believe this is my family's 5th or 6th visit to the Carriage House and it keeps getting better. The views are amazing and you could not be any closer to the trails. The condo has plenty of room for our family of 4 and is light, airy and spacious. The deck is amazing!Alyssa and Tabitha provide excellent hospitality and are very caring and gracious hosts. We're really looking forward to heading back again soon.

I have stayed at many properties at East Burke in the Kingdom Trails area and this was one of my favorites. The location is great, the property and amenities had everything that fit our needs and the owners were very responsive and attentive to our questions. I recommend this property wholeheartedly.

This was our second stay at the Carriage House at Darling Hill and, just as with the first time, we loved every minute. Less than 5 minutes (literally) door to door to Burke Mountain where the lift lines were essentially nonexistent and my kids gained confidence with their nearly private group lessons." Spring came a little earlier than expected

Beautiful with tons to do!

This is a place with stunning views. Tabitha made sure we had everything we needed. The condo comes with full kitchen. Right on the Kingdom trails. You can be very active or just hang around the house and relax.

3rd trip to the Carriage House. 4 adults and two kids - lots of space and gorgeous views! Tabitha and Alyssa were excellent ghosts. The trails could not be closer or more convenient. My family and I are already talking about our next trip.

Another fantastic trip to Burke!

Perfect!

We had high hopes that this unit would match our needs precisely and it did - exactly as advertised. It felt like it was a home away from home. We were three couples, preparing and eating most of our meals in the unit and found everything we needed in the kitchen. The entire setup of the condo was perfect for our needs. The location is stunning - Darling Hill is a gorgeous area, rich with history and beautiful homesteads. The views from this unit are spectacular too. We will definitely make this a regular rental for fun time on the Kingdom Trails. Nice to have other options nearby too, given the variable weather in New England. We hoped to be fat biking and/or skiing all weekend, but the frigid weather led us to Hill Farmstead Brewery in Greensboro Bend one day instead. Fun little towns nearby too. We will be back and highly recommend to others.

Simply perfect - exactly as advertised

It seems like our second winter home. It is just comfortable, and welcoming and even the smallest problems get handled in a blink of an eye.

The rental was well decorated and furnished. We lacked nothing during our weekend stay. And a great view too!

Burke ski weekend

We had an amazing time at the carriage house. The location is amazing, right in the middle of Kingdom Trails--ride right from the house. The view from the deck is stunning and the house was just perfect. Tabitha took care of all our needs and was a very gracious host. We will definitely be back.

Love the Carriage House!

I can't say enough good things about the Carriage House! It's spacious, spotless, and totally comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked for post-adventure cooking needs. The view of Burke Mountain is phenomenal and Kingdom Trails are literally across the street. It's just a couple minutes from the center of East Burke (sandwiches, restaurants, groceries, beer, Kingdom Trails HQ). The owners are wonderful people who obviously take great care of their property and want the best for their guests. Highly recommended!

Ideal Kingdom Trails / Burke lodging for friends/family!

The property is gorgeous, comfortable, and everything you'd want for a vacation getaway. The listing description and photos are very accurate, and the view is even better in person. The house was clean and warm, the beds comfortable, and the owners were a pleasure to communicate with. I can't say enough positive things about this property. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely amazing!

Beautiful home with a tremendous view and a great main floor for evening gatherings. My groomsmen and I stayed here and all were pleased with the accommodations. Comfy beds, laundry, a full kitchen, and a few good showers got us through the weekend in style!

Another great stay!!

We had a great time staying in this quintessentially Vermont Carriage House! It has gorgeous views of the mountains and rolling hills. Location could not be better with historic barns and the Kingdom Trails right across the street. We wen to the Wildflower Inn for Burgers and Beer special of $10 for dinner and settled in to watch a movie in the evening. A wonderful country store is right down the hill. The owners were so nice and accommodating.

Cozy, well-appointed space with a great location

This is a terrific place for a group to stay! The owners are wonderful people - very accommodating and easy to communicate with. The location is stunning - the view's great, but even better the Kingdom Trails network is literally across the street. There's plenty of space to relax after a long day outside and the games & TV are nice diversions too. I look forward to coming here again!

Great property

The Carriage House is a perfect get-away for the family who wants to take advantage of the Kingdom's winter riding, then kick back on the couch to read or catch a movie. With the country store and casual dining literally at the bottom of the hill, it's hard to think of an easier place to stay. The mountain views are beautiful, and the owners are completely accommodating -- we'll be back!!

Perfect family weekend

Our daughter was getting married across the street at the Inn at Mountain View farm. We rented the carriage house and it was wonderful. Very clean, comfortable and homey. Beautiful views!

great place, very comfy

We found the carriage house when looking for lodging for a friend's wedding. Turns out it was right across the street from her venue! Besides that, the house could not have been cuter or the views better. When not across the street celebrating, we were hanging out on the back porch, doing yoga in the yard or chatting it up in the open living room/kitchen. It was the perfect place for our group of 6 longtime friends to reconnect and relax - I'd love to go back and do it all over again.

We spent three nights at the carriage house in late August, using it as our launching pad for a mountain biking excursion. Throughout the weekend, we had 3-4 adults and there was plenty of room. We cooked all of our meals and had everything we needed for an exceptional stay. The location is unbelievable - beautiful views of Burke mountain and access to the trails right from the property. Tabitha was a great host and made sure we felt welcome. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Experience

Just finished a great few days riding the beautiful Kingdom Trails. There were 4 adults and 2 teenage kids with us and we were very pleased with our accommodations at the carriage house. Nice sized bedrooms to crash in after a hard day of riding and a large kitchen/living area to relax and unwind in. Ample storage in the entry for 6 mountain bikes and all the shoes, gloves, helmets etc that go along with it. The house was very well stocked compared to most of the other VRBO places we have stayed. The location is perfect. Literally 30 seconds from the trail head at the top of the East Darling Hill Rd., but far enough away from the main drag (2 minutes down the hill) that there was very little traffic and noise. The back deck provides a beautiful view of Burke Mountain and the surrounding area. The only thing I might suggest is a floor fan in every bedroom (there was 1 fan in the basement). We happened to be there during a heat wave and it would have been a bit more comfortable for sleeping with a fan to move the air around. We would absolutely recommend this property and hope to go back again in the near future.

Great Stay in a Great Location!

Best view in East Burke. A comfortable well equipped vacation get away place. Owners shared fresh from the garden vegetables. First time we've ever seen a complete rainbow framed by Burke Mountain in the background. A perfect spot for a great getaway and first rate relaxation with a view.

A few friends and I recently stayed at the Carriage House for a wedding at the Mountain View Inn. The house had plenty of space and everything you might need to enjoy your stay! We can't wait to go back!

Great Condo!

My family and I recently stayed at the Carriage House and had a fantastic time. The house easily five three adults and two kids, with plenty of room. The views from the living room and the deck are amazing. The location was perfect for mt biking and would make a great base for skiing as well. The owners were very welcoming and have outfitted the condo with everything you could need for a great stay. We can't wait to come back!

Beautiful condo, Beautiful Views!

Five of us recently stayed at the CH and it was great. The condo is very clean and the owners were very accommodating. They had to repair a light fixture and did it with no inconvenience to us and left us a six pack to compensate. The view is spectacular.

Perfect spot, wonderful owners

We stayed at the Carriage House with two other couples and it was absolutely perfect! We all had comfortable rooms and enjoyed hanging out in the open concept living area over looking the mountain range. The house was nicely furnished, very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed!The owners were incredibly gracious and available if we needed anything at all.We had a great meal at the local pub in East Burke. I would highly recommend this rental and definitely plan to return!

Perfect weekend getaway with spectacular views!!

We had a group of 6 for races at Burke. Very comfortable. Great location. Everyone had their own bed (used the pullout couch). Plenty of space for our group and very convenient to Burke. The views and location are amazing. The owners were great. Very easy to work with, especially since we were a last second reservation. They made sure we had everything we needed for our stay, although we didn't much since we're pretty low maintenance. Will definitely stay again in the future.

Great place

I cannot recommend this condo on Darling Hill strongly enough. It has a perfect view off the hill to Burke Mountain, and is located right across from the Mountain View Inn. I have long thought this stretch of Darling Hill Road one of the nicest spots in the NE Kingdom, and it was a privilege to be able to spend a week here. It is less than 10 minutes to get to Burke Mountain, where we skied each day. The condo at three bedrooms and two bathrooms was the prefect size for our family of five and equipped with everything we needed, cozy and warm despite it being on average about 5 degrees all week. We easily made a dinner for nine in the well-equipped kitchen on our last night. And Alyssa and Tabitha, to round things off very nicely, may be some of the nicest people I have met, warm, engaging and very helpful. My son left his backpack in his bedroom at the end of our stay, to give just one example, and they did not hesitate in offering to send it back to us, despite what must have been considerable inconvenience. My only hesitation in recommending it so warmly is that I may face competition for future bookings, and I will certainly want to return.

Exquisite Spot, Lovely House, Wonderful Hosts

We were looking for a last minute ski rental near Burke when we stumbled upon this gem. The owners were extremely helpful, met us the day we checked in and we were even left a box of local chocolates and cider with a nice note. We went with our 4 children and the owners even offered to let us borrow some sleds to go sledding behind the house. It's very close to Burke mountain. Well equipped and clean with beautiful mountain views. I can imagine that this house would also be beautiful in the summer & spring for hikers and bikers.
