Positive Reviews
positive:
Excellent location in Boston
With its position in the heart of the Theatre District, the Milner Hotel has received high marks from previous guests when it comes to location. Popular Boston attractions, restaurants, bars and shops surround the hotel, while further afield points of interest such as Fenway Park and the Museum of Fine Arts are a short drive away.
positive:
Friendly and helpful front desk staff
The front desk personnel, according to the overall opinion of former visitors, are one of the main assets that the hotel has at its disposal. The customer service they provide is apparently very accommodating and friendly.
positive:
Free breakfast a welcome extra
The majority of past guests staying at the Milner Hotel were happy with the continental breakfast served. Whilst the dining room itself is regarded as small with a limited amount of seating, the quality of the breakfast was typically seen as acceptable - especially when it is inclusive with all stays.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Tiny and distressed rooms
Although the rooms are generally kept clean and tidy based on feedback, they have been regularly condemned by former visitors to the Milner Hotel. Along with most of the rooms supposedly being very small, they are also visibly dated and suffering from wear and tear.
negative:
Noise a common problem
Noise was a regular issue for past guests at the hotel. Thanks to its position in the lively Theatre District, the noise of revelers can reportedly continue until late into the night.
negative:
Minimalist throughout
From the inadequate room amenities to the omission of recreational public facilities, the hotel is a limited accommodation choice that is strictly no-thrills. Combined with the general uncomfortableness of the rooms, and despite its great location, the majority of past visitors would not recommend the Milner Hotel as a place to stay in Boston.
