About Gateside Guesthouse

Gateside Guesthouse is said to have been the first establishment offering accommodation in Hilton. In a beautiful setting with both B&B rooms and self-catered units: we cater for business visitors (wifi & generator to exclude any glitches with power failures), families on holiday or visiting local private schools of Hilton College, St Annes, & Cowan House. We can sleep a maximum of 30 people which makes us ideal for teams attending local mountainbiking & many other sporting events. We are situated in a peaceful cul-de-sac in the charming suburb of Hilton, Pietermaritzburg, with stunning views overlooking dam & pastures giving a country feel. We are only 1 to 2 kms from our local Quarry Shopping Centre, restaurants & Life Hospital.We are easily accessed from the N3 highway - 5 minutes' drive and are midway between the Drakensberg mountains & the KZN coast making us a good stopover point. All rooms are ensuite and the B&B rooms have limited self-catering facilities whilst the family units are fully self-catered. Relax in the guest lounge with log fireplace or out on the deck with the view. Spacious garden with pool, trampoline & braai facilities. Onsite parking. Pet-friendly.
