Guesthouse Macomber (Cape May, USA)

Guests loved the offered amenities, like complimentary beach towels and onsite bike rentals. After a long day, the patio area with rocker chairs is a delightful spot to people watch, meet other guests or just simply unwind.

Macomber boasts a perfect location, just across the street from the beach and the Convention Hall. The hotel is centrally located in Cape May and in a very walkable area. Shopping and dining options can be reached on foot.

While most guests were pleased with their rooms, many rooms could use an upgrade. The decor is outdated and the rugs and linens need replacing. In addition, the A/C is old, the TV is too small and there is a lack of counter space in the bathrooms.

There is no elevator onsite but the stairwells are comfortably wide. However, if you have a lot of luggage or trouble with stairs, make sure to plan ahead as the hotel is not accessible, and guests will need to climb several steps to even reach the lobby.

If you're a light sleeper, make sure to pack a pair of earplugs as a precaution. Several guests said they could hear their neighbors quite well through the walls.
