Positive Reviews
positive:
One of the best locations in Dubrovnik
Staying in the city centre is preferred by everyone planning to explore the city by foot or who's on the run. Located 30m away from Stradun Main Street, with many restaurants and bars awaiting you, chances are you will get back to your room quite late at night. Furthermore, most beaches are reachable by foot within five minutes of walking, so what more could you ask for?
positive:
Intimate and cosy atmosphere
The property stays hidden on a narrow, quiet street of the old town, with a wine bar only a few meters away. The place reproduces the atmosphere of the 17th century and even though the rooms may be a bit dark, the artificial lighting and the décor details will very well compensate for it.
positive:
Friendly and reliable staff
While some guests complain about having difficulties in finding someone at the reception desk, most guests seem to be very fond of the staff that greeted them or served them breakfast. As long as you announce your visits, chances are that they will treat as if you are family!
Negative Reviews
negative:
Breakfast served in alley is not for everyone
Lack of space prevents them from having a restaurant room, which is why breakfast is served in the alley. Some guests are intrigued, others reject the idea and while this is a matter of preference, it obviously can't be too comfortable on rainy days.
negative:
Antique is not fun when you have no elevator
The lack of an elevator is another issue that tourists underline, especially those who get a room on the fourth (and last) floor. Therefore, the feeling of old, otherwise appreciated, turns into reason of discontent.
negative:
The safe is not too safe
Even though rooms have a safe-deposit box, it seems that anyone can grab it and go away with it. The safe weighs only a few kilos and can be locked, but it is not secured in any other way.
