The Lodge at Hammock Beach Resort offers guests a wide range of services that always run smoothly and provide guests with peace of mind during their stay. The parking area is safe, convenient and close, room service is fast and convenient and the maintenance and cleaning staff are quick to resolve issues and replenish amenities.
The guest rooms are very spacious with enough room for a family to be able to move around comfortably. Also reported were walls that appear to be very thick and soundproof as nothing from other rooms or in the corridors can be heard inside.
Guests reported that this lodge is in a perfect location right on the ocean. The area is quiet, there are many places to relax and be away from crowds, the sunsets are spectacular and the relaxing sounds of the waves can be heard from the rooms. .
The guest rooms at The Lodge at Hammock Beach Resort are dark and unwelcoming due to a lack of natural light entering. Guests also reported a number of other issues including Wi-Fi that never works, a musty smell, paint peeling off walls, broken lamps, mold in bathrooms and malfunctioning air conditioning.
The lodge seems to be slipping into a state of disrepair as hardly any maintenance is being done around the property. The grounds are unkempt, some areas have not been painted in some time and the swimming pools are dirty. .
There appears to be a disconnection between staff and guests as staff members are clueless as to what guests want and need out of a hotel. Guests reported that some staff members need to be reminded by guests to clean rooms and provide basic services, they are unapologetic and unhelpful when issues arise and they don't do anything extra outside their regular duties.
