Farah Hotel was established in 1996 and it is a favorite for backpackers and regional travelers. There are twenty four rooms spread over six floors. Farah is lucky to be found right in the middle of the downtown area. The easy-to-book trips that are on offer at the reception are cheaper with larger groups of people, so a stay in one of the dormitories gives you a great way to find new friends with whom to explore the fabulous sights in Jordan, it also helps to keep your budget down. There are hot showers to relax you after a day's exploring. You could enjoy a sunset drink in your room looking out over the culturally rich Downtown area and once you have done that, and because the hotel is so central, you could easily step out to explore Amman at night. Or if you are tired from your travels just relax whilst watching a film on satellite TV in your room. Films are also on show in the lobby in the evenings and once again it gives you a great opportunity to meet others over a drink. Then there is just enough time to send a quick email home using the Internet access or even call friends and family with the cheap international calling service available in the lobby.

The presence of an elevator is also a much-appreciated convenience, especially for guests with luggage. The hotel's common room is consistently praised as a lively and welcoming hub, fostering a strong sense of community and providing an excellent space for meeting other travelers. Additionally, the absence of lockers in rooms was a point of concern for some, suggesting a need for more secure storage options for personal belongings.
Cleanliness & Room Comfort
Feedback regarding cleanliness and room comfort presents a mixed picture. Many guests describe the facilities as dated and in clear need of renovation, particularly the bathrooms, which are frequently cited for being old, having broken fixtures, and sometimes lacking consistent hot water in shared areas. While staff often provide alternative room keys for access to heated water, this workaround can be inconvenient. Some reviews mention issues with general tidiness, such as unhoovered rugs or short shower curtains leading to floor flooding, and concerns about bedding not being changed regularly.
