The Benwiskin Centre is a holiday hostel and self catering accommodation, located in Ballintrick, few miles outside Sligo Town, Ireland. Guests can take up many day and evening classes like art, yoga and photography among others. Guests can choose from twin, double/ family rooms and a dorm. They all have en suite facilities. Bed line is provided. Cots are available on request. Services of bicycle hire, laundry and mobile library can be availed by the guests. Guests loved the magnificent location around the centre. It is 20 minutes' drive from Sligo Town. The spectacular mountains look very majestic in the background. Peaceful and beautiful beaches are just a short drive away. The gardens are beautiful and well-maintained which add on to the tranquility of the place.
As per some guests, the centre is the best place for all the activities like walking, cycling and hiking. There are endless cycle and walking trails that can be explored by the guests. Bicycles can be hired out from the centre bike hire service. Horse riding tours at the ocean were also very popular. The beaches of Bundoran and Mullaghmore are famous for surfing.
Rooms are quite affordable and pleasant to stay in. Beds are comfortable and the kitchens are well-stocked. The centre is kept very clean. It has all the modern facilities that are required to ensure a comfortable stay.
Some of the guests felt that the centre is an hour's drive from the nearest shop in the village, so it becomes quite difficult if one does not have a car to travel.
Since the facilities like the common room are hired out to hold private events like the spiritual observance every second day, few guests could not have access to the facilities offered there.
