Hotel Alfonso XIII in Seville was built in 1928 and inaugurated by King Alfonso XIII. Both the architecture and the furnishings of the hotel reflect a strong influence of the royals. It is a Luxury Collection Hotel. The rooms and suites have a combination of modern amenities and antique furniture. A standard 27 square meter deluxe room has a television with cable channels, rain shower and tub, Internet access, hairdryer, iron and board, minibar, CD player and telephone. The 8 function and meeting rooms are venues for large and small gatherings. All of the rooms have the look and feel of a palace but come complete with modern equipment. In room dining is also available. The dining areas serve local and international cuisine. It also serves fine wines, cocktails and other refreshments in an area that is elegantly designed with chandeliers, lamps, and even chairs with distinct designs. Palm trees and different kinds of flowers surround the outdoor pool and there is a poolside bar that is open during the summer months for snacks and other refreshments. The hotel has a 24-hour gym, which is located close to the pool.
