A family run apartment hotel, the Hotel Apartamento A Floresta Do Jose is a little inland from the coast in a quiet, peaceful location. Apartments are comfortably furnished with terraces overlooking the gardens and pool. For those who will be self-catering the apartments have fully equipped kitchenettes. In-room Wi-Fi is available. A great feature, enjoyed by most guests, is the sparkling pool. It’s set in a lovely garden, and overlooked by a shady terrace. Motorists will be glad to know that there is ample parking on-site. Only breakfast is available on-site, but there are good restaurants a short drive away, and also a grocery store for supplies. Hotel Apartamento A Floresta Do Jose is just over two miles’ from the Vale do Lobo luxury resort and golf course, with its many restaurants and nightclub. For guests looking to do a bit of shopping, the Quinta Shopping Centre is less than two miles’ away.

Several guests comment that the pool is their favourite part of the apartment hotel, and very welcome on hot summer days. There is also a children's section, so parents can be a little more relaxed. There is also a tranquil garden view from the apartment terraces.
Guests were very pleased to find that both their rooms, and the rest of the hotel, were kept spotlessly clean at all times.
Despite the somewhat remote location there is a really good restaurant right across the road. For those who are not self-catering, or just want a break, this is a life-saver.
It seems that there are occasionally critical items missing, or not enough of them. Also, some basic appliances do not work properly. This is not that uncommon in self catering units, and a word with the owners is usually enough to remedy the situation.
The apartment-hotel is in a really peaceful area, but its remoteness means that guests without their own car will have a hard time. The coast is some two miles' away, and other attractions are also distant. Since public transport is thin on the ground, guests without a car face hefty taxi fares to get around.
There was an appreciation that this is not a luxurious resort, but many thought that the décor in both rooms and public areas really needs to be updated.
