The hotel is highly regarded for its excellent breakfast buffet and the consistently friendly, helpful staff, which together create a welcoming atmosphere. Guests frequently praise the spacious, renovated rooms and the convenient location that serves as an ideal base for exploring mountain trails. The availability of a SPA area with a jacuzzi and sauna adds to the appeal, offering relaxation after a day of activities. This makes the hotel particularly well-suited for hikers, couples seeking a relaxing getaway, and families, especially those traveling with pets. To enhance your stay, be aware that parking is typically paid, and if mobility is a concern, consider requesting a room on a lower floor due to the absence of an elevator.
Facilities & Amenities
The hotel offers a SPA area featuring a jacuzzi and sauna, providing a space for guests to unwind. While many appreciate these amenities, some feedback indicates that the sauna may not reach optimal temperatures, and the jacuzzi jets are not always fully functional, with some guests also noting a strong chlorine smell. Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, though a few guests reported occasional connectivity issues. A bar is on-site, offering a convenient spot for drinks. For families, a dedicated kids playroom is provided. On-site parking is available, which is a significant convenience, but it typically incurs an additional daily fee. It is important to note that the hotel does not have an elevator, which can be challenging for guests with heavy luggage or those staying on higher floors.
Cleanliness & Room Comfort
Guests consistently describe the rooms as clean, spacious, and renovated, often featuring a modern style and well-appointed, large bathrooms. Many rooms are equipped with balconies that offer picturesque mountain views, including the prominent Śnieżka peak. However, a common point of feedback concerns the softness of the mattresses, with some guests finding them uncomfortable or single beds prone to sliding apart. While generally quiet, some reviews mention thin walls that can lead to noise from neighboring rooms. A frequent observation is the absence of certain in-room amenities such as a kettle and a refrigerator, which some guests found inconvenient. Isolated reports also noted a sewage smell or humidity in specific rooms, particularly on the upper floors, and occasional issues with water pressure in the bathrooms.
Dining & Food Quality
The breakfast consistently receives high acclaim for its deliciousness, variety, and abundance, served in a comprehensive buffet style. Guests appreciate the wide selection of fresh food, which includes hot dishes, various cold cuts, cheeses, and even homemade pate, ensuring a satisfying start to the day for everyone. The coffee served during breakfast is also frequently complimented. While breakfast is a definite highlight, feedback on other meals is more mixed. Some guests found the dinner options to be of lower quality, describing certain dishes as bland or uninspired. However, others enjoyed meals taken at the hotel's restaurant, noting good quality and value compared to external dining options. A bar is also available, offering a relaxed setting for guests to enjoy beverages.
Location & Accessibility
The hotel boasts a very good location, appealing to both hikers and those looking to explore the town. It is conveniently situated close to mountain trails and the ski slope, making it an ideal base for outdoor activities. While slightly off the main thoroughfare, providing a quiet and peaceful environment, it remains within easy walking distance to the city center and public transport stops. Some guests noted that the walk back from the center involves an uphill climb, which might be challenging for some individuals. Parking is available on-site, which is a significant advantage in the area, though it is typically a paid service. The proximity to key attractions and transit options makes it a practical choice for various types of travelers.
Staff & Service
The staff consistently receives glowing reviews for their exceptional friendliness, helpfulness, and professionalism. Guests frequently highlight their attentiveness and willingness to assist with various requests, from providing local information and directions to promptly resolving room issues like a faulty wardrobe or a bad smell. The reception staff are particularly commended for their warm welcome and efficient service, making the check-in and check-out processes smooth. Many guests felt genuinely cared for, with the staff contributing significantly to a positive and memorable stay. This high level of customer service is a recurring theme, making guests feel valued and eager to return, often noting the staff's proactive approach in ensuring guest comfort.
Additional Information
The hotel maintains a pet-friendly policy, making it a suitable choice for guests traveling with their animals. It's important to note that some guests experienced a room transfer to a sister property, "Karpacki & Spa," due to ongoing renovations at the original location. These transfers were generally handled smoothly, often without additional cost and sometimes resulted in an upgrade to a higher standard of accommodation, which was appreciated by many. A significant point for consideration is the absence of an elevator, which can pose a challenge for guests staying on the upper floors, especially the fourth floor, requiring them to navigate steep stairs with luggage. Some guests particularly appreciated the modern shower heads in the renovated bathrooms, noting their unique and enjoyable mist function, while others found the presence of a trash bin on the corridor to be a useful, albeit minor, convenience.
