About Aran View Country House

Aran View Country House in Doolan, built in the Georgian period in 1736, stands on a hill commanding one of the finest views of the wild Clare coastline. Facing the Aran View are the beautiful Aran Islands. To the north is the famous Burren landscape of the limestone and exotic wild flowers. Looking south are the imposing Cliffs of Moher and Doolin pier. One will never tire of these views of an ever-changing landscape of greens and blues. The famous artist Augustus John found inspiration to paint many landscapes here. Doolin Cave is also just over the hill from the Aran View. All the bedrooms have private bathroom, colour TV, and telephones with international direct dialling. Visitors both new and old are assured of a warm and embracing welcome at the Aran View Country House Hotel.
