Unusually for a hotel, there is a micro-brewery which unsurprisingly is well-loved by guests. You will have the chance to try a range of craft beers made on-site, while on a weekend you can accompany your drink with either lunch or dinner.
A number of guests like the fact that the hotel is so easy reach. It is located near Princes Highway and the South Gippsland Freeway, making it to get to by car. Also, despite the fact the busy roads are so near, most guests say there is no problem at all with any traffic noise.
The free secure parking is appreciated, and you will find the facilities - and your property - are super-safe thanks to the CCTV that is in place.
Unfortunately there have been mixed reviews on cleanliness. Some guests have reported mould in the showers, while others have said bed linen was unclean, and dirty cups have not been replaced.
Guests have to pay a security bond to the hotel before they arrive. Some guests have been annoyed by this as they say they were not aware this would happen, especially as it is not common practice. Also, once the bond has been taken, it can take several days to return the money to the guest's bank account.
Perhaps strangely, the Roadhouse Bar and Grill is closed on a weekend. This has puzzled some guests. However, as noted above the micro-brewery is open on a weekend so you can at least dine there instead.
