Guests were happy with their hotel choice, and liked the quiet residential neighbourhood across from a university. Guests found Azenberg Stuttgart to be a 15-minute walk to the city centre and tram, and an eight-minute walk to the bus stop. While a few complained of the uphill walk back to the hotel, most found it easy to get around.
This hotel doesn't have a full-service restaurant, but guests were more than happy to partake in the light fare served in the cosy bar. Breakfast was also a hit, with lots of selection and fresh bread.
Hotel staff received top marks from guests. Professional, courteous staff were always willing to help out, and guests appreciated that English was never a problem for accommodating staff in both the bar and at the front desk.
In the warmer months, some guests were inconvenienced by rooms that didn't have air-conditioning. It seems that some rooms have two windows at either end for a nice cross breeze, but guests who weren't lucky enough to get this set-up sometimes suffered. Guests were somewhat satisfied that windows at least opened, but ultimately wished for air-conditioning.
Many guests commented on the tight quarters in the bathroom. Not enough room to maneuver or place toiletries was a common complaint. Another annoyance was the frosted glass that left little to the imagination. However, guests were able to find a redeeming quality with the shower strength.
Guests occasionally mentioned two issues that they would have rather done without. Parking was found to be expensive unless street parking was available. And while the Wi-Fi signal worked most of the time, guests were frustrated that they had to log in with each use.
