The hostel provides loads of activities to keep backpackers amused during the week and those who left reviews said that they had a lot of fun staying here. Backpackers also made specific mention in their reviews of the price of the dorms saying that they thought that it was good value for money in Airlie Beach, which can be expensive for those looking for budget accommodation.
The staff who work on reception at the hostel were consistently mentioned in reviews for being super helpful particularly about recommending to backpackers the kinds of trips they can do out to the island and in and around Airlie Beach.
Often Wi-Fi is a backpackers lifeline to the outside world and not being able to access it for free is a disaster for most who are on a budget. Backpackers were disappointed in the hostel because it does not provide free Wi-Fi as part of the room rate.
Backpackers who were not happy with the state of the dorms left less than positive reviews about the hostel, with many saying that a better daily servicing of the dorms would have made their stay better. The dirty bathrooms were singled out as needing particular attention.
The communal kitchen was singled out in the reviews for a couple of reasons. The main one was that it was constantly dirty and people did not wash up or clean up after themselves and the second thing that annoyed backpackers was having to put a deposit down for the cutlery and plates.
