Base Queenstown is a hostel in the resort town of Queenstown, New Zealand. Located in the town centre, the hostel is within easy reach of Queenstown’s many visitor attractions, eating establishments and shopping facilities. Lake Wakatipu is a short walk away and the Ben Lomond Scenic Reserve and Queenstown Hill Recreation Reserve are close by. Queenstown is home to several adventure sports, including bungee jumping, skiing, sky diving, mountain biking and paragliding, as well as facilities for more mainstream sports such as golf and cricket. There are several styles of accommodation on offer: double, twin and triple private rooms, four, six or eight bed mixed dorms and eight bed female only dorms. Most rooms have balconies and all are centrally heated, have a fridge and provide access to wireless internet. The facilities available include a kitchen, dining area, laundry facilities, TV lounge, travel desk and daily organised activities. The hostel also has its own onsite bar, the “Altitude Bar”, and café. Queenstown Airport is roughly ten kilometres away with regular flights to and from Australia and New Zealand.
