Located right on the doorstep of the Atlantic Ocean, the Bay View Resort offers plenty of fun for beach lovers, and those that love to bask in the sun, while an array of restaurants and nightlife are within walking distance to the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade.
You should not find many hidden extra's at this hotel. Guests can enjoy free convenient parking as well as free wireless internet, while the Sun and Fun Rewards promotion provides hotel guests with admission to great attractions like Broadway Grand Prix and Ripley's Aquarium.
Guests have commented that rooms are neat, serviced and well-kept, while housekeeping staff are very friendly and quick to attend to any special requests for extra toiletries or towels. Some guests were even offered an upgraded room at no extra fee.
Although there are four elevators that service this resort, there have been some complaints that guests have needed to wait quite a while to catch one. If you feel that you are in need of some exercise, you might think about using the stairs; it could be a little quicker.
Although the Bay View Resort boasts various water amenities like a lazy river and indoor splash area, some visitors have complained that there is no outdoor pool area. Nonetheless the beach is literally on the doorstep, and most guests have had enough sunshine after a day at the beach.
There have been some minor issues with the air conditioning units in some of the rooms not operating efficiently, causing rooms to become warm and stuffy. Staff have however attended to these problems efficiently and promptly.
