Most guests rate the hotel as excellent value for its amenities and location.

Staff at the hotel are helpful and particularly hard-working, say many guests who stay here. Even guests who have experienced problems during their stay are full of praise for the attitude and efforts of the staff.

Many guests were quick to praise the breakfast at the hotel, which they say far exceeded their expectations and their experiences at other hotels of the same rating and price. Hot food is on offer at breakfast which is a pleasant surprise for most guests.

Most guests have had a restful stay at the hotel, but a small number have reported noises during the night which disturbed their sleep, including squeaky floors and stairs, and loud noises from fellow guests in rooms above and adjoining due to thin walls and insulation.

Guests have sometimes reported that the air-conditioning is not as effective as it could be, and that it takes a long time to cool the rooms down, which can be a problem if it's not switched on in advance of guests arriving late. Some guests also said the air-conditioning is quite noisy when it is on.

On the whole, guests were pleased with the standard of accommodation and the price the hotel offered, but a few guests have said they feel the hotel would benefit from being updated, saying that some of the furniture and decor looks dated and worn.
