Typhoon Lagoon is a water park based on a tropical island setting with lush dense forests and sandy beaches. The premise is that a fierce storm blew across the island tossing items around and which stranded a shrimp boat on the peak of the central 100 foot volcano. Features include water slides, pools, a tube river, a wave pool and a coral reef which allows snorkelling with tropical fish and sharks. There is a large car park. Typhoon Lagoon is also serviced by the Downtown Disney route of the DisneyWorld Transportation system. Opening times vary through the year and with inclement weather.
