Nearly everyone was impressed with the cleanliness of their rooms and bathrooms. They also found the common areas of the hotel, including the exterior amenities like the pool and parking lot, to be very clean and well kept.
Most guests were happy with the low rates at Baymont Inn & Suites Florence. They felt that for the price they paid they were more than satisfactorily compensated, and were particularly impressed with the many amenities available like the outdoor pool and complimentary breakfast.
Previous guests were generally quite pleased with the check-in process at the hotel. They found the staff to be speedy and efficient, without sacrificing friendliness. Guests who used Baymont Inn & Suites Florence as a stop off on a longer trip were relieved that they didn't have too much wait or hassle before they could get to their room.
Their ample-sized lot is perfect for parking a truck or a bus, and truckers, tour group operators, and field trip chaperones loved their stay. However, for other guests there were some drawbacks. Light sleepers were bothered by truck drivers being up at an early hour and starting their rather noisy rigs. Many guests complained of arriving at breakfast to find the whole buffet wiped out by a basketball team or senior tour. Those who stayed at the same time as busloads of underage guests had many complaints about the noise and general rambunctiousness.
Multiple guests complained that the beds were rather uncomfortable. They suspected that the mattresses were old, and hoped that they will be replaced soon.
A few guests who do not smoke complained that there were too many guests that do. There were also multiple complaints of cigarette burns in the rooms or rooms that smelled of smoke.
