The location of Belaire Hotel is perfect for beach goers as this hotel is situated right on the coast of Durban. With beautiful sunny weather, this is a great base for a magical South African vacation. There are many bars and restaurants within walking distance and you will find a shopping mall just around the back of the hotel.
The breakfast offered at the on-site restaurant is one not too be missed. Guests have had great reviews on the range of food served and the effort by the staff in trying to serve everyone at once. The are a wide selection of fresh foods including pastries and juice.
You won't need to worry about your safety when staying at Belaire. There are 24-hour security guards on-site and you are issued a key card for your own private room. The area is also known for its peaceful nature in which tourists can enjoy a prime part of South African coastline.
A few guests have had issues with the housekeeping in terms of timing and thoroughness of the job itself. There have been a few instances where the staff would enter a room when guests were still occupying it. There have also been complaints that the housekeeping are not up to scratch with the rest of the hotel.
You might find the noise coming from your neighbors and guests above and below a little too much if you are a light sleeper. The rooms are not well insulated against sound and the amount of noise coming from rooms nearby can be annoying.
The Wi-Fi provided at this hotel is poor in quality and signal. Guests have complained that they cannot use the connection properly to do work.
