The hotel is within a 20-minute drive of Melbourne's city centred and Tullamarine Airport. Tram lines connected to the city centre are within a few minutes' walk and it's a 12-minute walk to Bell Street train station. The shops and eateries in Present and Thornbury are also easily accessible.
Guests commented that the hotel provides good value for money. The rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay, including a small fridge, tea and coffee making facilities along with Wi-Fi access and comfortable beds. A basic breakfast is also included and during hot weather guests enjoyed use of the outdoor swimming pool.

The hotel is positioned on a main road. The flow of traffic across six lanes is constant and guests complained that traffic noise can be heard even with the windows closed. Guests also reported being disturbed by the old air conditioning system which is noisy and in need of replacement. Rooms facing away from Bell Street are recommended as they are quieter.
Guests commented that the hotel is set in an old building and the furnishings appear to be out of the 60s and 70s era. It's time to refurbish with new carpets, a coat of paint and to replace the dated wooden furnishings.
The hotel has a number of notices around the property advising guests of things to ‘not' to and the extra charges which may be incurred. Guests reported that these notices created an unpleasant atmosphere.
